Inis Reading Guide

When you love a book, you want to share it: with a friend or family member, with anyone who might just love it as much as you do and might get that same extraordinary feeling as you do about the world, the characters, the language or the illustration. At Children’s Books Ireland we love books, and we want to share them with every child on the island of Ireland. We strive to develop audiences for children’s books, to support and celebrate excellent authors, illustrators and publishers and to work in partnership with people and organisations who influence children’s reading.

The Inis Reading Guide is one of our most important ways of sharing books. By recommending the very best books in all genres and age groups, we can ensure that children find the right book for them, often with some help from an adult in their lives – a parent, grandparent, teacher, librarian or bookseller – who can call on this guide for help. Below you’ll find back-issues of the Inis Reading Guide – just click on the image to read. For the most up to date issue, sign up for CBI membership and you’ll receive the guide in the post.
