Noah Can’t Even

Noah Grimes is an exceedingly awkward almost-16-year-old who wants more than anything else to just be normal. Problem is, his mum’s Beyonce tribute act doesn’t help matters in school. His dad disappeared years ago, his beloved gran isn’t herself any more, and school is pure hell. He only has one friend, Harry, who has been with him through thick and thin. Why can’t he just be normal, like everyone else in school? Maybe if he struck up a relationship with lovely, kind, pretty Sophie, he’d be seen in a different light? But Noah’s plans for romance are derailed when Harry kisses him at a party.

A sweet portrayal of a confused kid who just wants to fit in. After Harry kisses him, Noah has to work out how he feels, who he is, what other people think of him, and what they’re saying… Readers will cringe along with Noah as he just can’t seem to do anything the right way, and his verbal diarrhoea doesn’t help either…
