Nina Peanut is a confident and funny young girl living in a quiet small town called Dozyville. Excitement ensues when a new boy joins her class, although Nina is not the only one who has noticed him and suddenly, she is competing with lots of her classmates for his attention. The situation becomes even more dramatic when Nina’s teacher announces that they are going to be staging the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet! When she finds a haunted artifact from the local museum, Nina decides she can help free the trapped ghost and solve the mystery in order to win Class Captain.

Kitty’s excitement on a day trip to the zoo is in contrast to the mood of her less enthusiastic older sister, Clara. Once they arrive with their father, Kitty gets straight to work drawing pictures for her mother, but Clara declares it all too ‘boring!’ and just stays on her phone. It seems that Clara doesn’t want to be there.
