Congratulations to all the winners and shortlistees from last night’s BGE Irish Book Awards. Unfortunately CBI wasn’t able to be there but we followed all the fun on facebook, twitter and instagram!

Malorie Blackman’s Project Remix

Waterstones Children’s Laureate 2013-2015 Malorie Blackman is inviting young people to take part in Project Remix – a competition to find the UK’s best young writers and creatives. UK residents aged 13-19 years are asked to take inspiration from their favourite writers to make their own creative work in response to the books and stories.

The O’Brien Press at 40

This weekend The O’Brien Press celebrates its 40th year in business at the Dublin Book Festival with the launch of Surge, New Writing from Ireland at Smock Alley Theatre. (Places are limited so booking is essential, RSVP to geraldine@obrien.ie).

Friday news

We’re looking forward to the weekend here at CBI, and to the Dublin Book Festival which begins on Thursday 13th November. We’ll be taking part at Smock Alley Theatre on Saturday 15th, with the Book Clinic and Robot Doodle, looking forward to seeing you there!
