Call for Artist-in-Residence (Children’s Literature)

Children’s Books Ireland (CBI) and the Church of Ireland College of Education (CICE) believe that classrooms rich in books and book experiences begin with teachers who are informed and enthusiastic about children’s literature. Schools provide a unique environment for children to discover the joy of books. CICE, in association with CBI, is now seeking to appoint an Artist-in-Residence (Children’s Literature) for a ten-month period, based in CICE, Rathmines, Dublin.

Children’s Books Ireland is delighted to again be partnering with (CICE) on the third year of our Bringing to Book Artist-in-Residence scheme, an initiative funded by The Arts Council/An Comhairle Ealaíon. After two successful years with Sheena Wilkinson as Author-in-Residence and Alan Nolan as Illustrator-in-Residence we are now calling for an Artist-in-Residence (Children’s Literature).

Closing date for applications is 10th April 2015. Further information and guidance on how to apply is available here. Please share widely.
