The CBI team is delighted to share with you the books we’re enjoying right now.
Ahead of Thursday’s launch at Eason, CBI Director Elaina Ryan is finishing off We Come Apart by Sarah Crossan and Brian Conaghan from Bloomsbury Books. She says ‘two of the most extraordinary writers have co-written a brilliant verse novel. Heartbreaking in so many ways but peppered with beautiful flashes of humour and tenderness. ‘
Publications and Communications Manager Jenny Murray is reading History is All You Left me by Adam Silvera from Simon and Schuster, ‘which is blowing my heart right open. Beautifully written, and does that excellent trick of being heartbreakingly sad and funny all at once, highly recommended.’
Administrator Ciara Houlihan is reading One of Us is Lying by Karen M McManus. Set for release in June by Penguin Books, ‘think The Breakfast Club with a dose of Pretty Little Liars and a big dollop of teen angst.’
Programme and Events Manager Aoife Murray is reading The Space Between by Meg Grehan, a debut author due to be published by Little Island Books shortly. She says ‘its a touching tale, written in free verse, about a girl who slowly finds her way back to herself.’
