Daisy Hirst, illustrator and author, is coming to Belonging, Children’s Books Ireland’s conference, this September.
Daisy, a graduate of the MA in Children’s Book Illustration from Cambridge School of Art and a BA in English and Creative Writing from Warwick, and the creator of books like Alphonse, That is Not ok to do, Alphonse, There’s Mud on the Ceiling, and The Girl with the Parrot on her Head, has shown herself to be a whimsical storyteller more than capable of capturing the imaginations of young readers.
These unique books are a testament to her creative talent and her love of storytelling, and show how right she was when she said, “I seem to need to make things and children’s books are ideal because all the pigs and peas and jam sandwiches keep reminding me not to be too serious.”
A truly impressive voice in children’s picture books, we are sure Daisy will have some amazing things to say this September. Don’t miss out on your chance to hear her, book your tickets now!
