Are you a family of bookworms? Have you a new baby or an emerging reader? Are you looking for fun ways to bring siblings together through the power of stories?
Then pop along to the virtual Children’s Books Ireland Bookseed Book Clinic with Limerick Libraries, especially for bouncing babies, terrific tots, and their loving older siblings! Chat to the Book Doctor via ZOOM, consult on your favourite books and leave with a prescription for your next family read which you can take to your local library or bookshop. Hopefully you will find your next family favourite!
Children’s Books Ireland Book Doctors give guidance about books to children and their families. Based on an informal chat, the white coat-clad Children’s Books Ireland Book Doctors recommend excellent books for any age of young reader, supported by Children’s Books Ireland’s many reading resources, and will have plenty of fun ideas for reading together as a family.
These clinics will be presented on Zoom and each consultation will be 15 minutes in duration, please select the 15 minute slot that suits you. A parent or guardian will be required to be in the same room as the child at all times during the Zoom call. Please join the call from a comfortable seat in aquiet, well-lit room and ensure your Zoom user name matches the name used to book the slot . The book prescription will be forwarded via email following the call. Please note preference will be given to Limerick-based families .
Don’t forget – parents/guardians of babies and 1-year olds can pick up a free bag of Bookseed books from selected Limerick Libraries branches. These are:
Abbeyfeale, Adare, Dooradoyle, Kilmallock, Watch House Cross & Newcastle West.
