The next Children’s Books Ireland Artists Coffee Morning will take place on Wednesday, 7 July at 10am. This is part of a recurring series of informal yet informative gatherings on Zoom where artists can hang out, learn from experts about something pertinent to their work and meet others in their creative area.

At this coffee morning we’ll be hearing about Brexit and its potential effect on the Irish children’s books market. Aoife Roantree is a Manager with Dubray Books and Chair of Bookselling Ireland. Bookselling Ireland is a representative body run by and for booksellers and is the driving force behind Irish Book Week, the Irish Book Trade Conference, World Book Day and Independent Bookshop Week in Ireland. Aoife joins us to talk Brexit. How will our nearest neighbour’s departure from the EU impact Irish children’s book artists? Aoife will offer insight into sales and events, book supply and associated difficulties arising. After this she will answer your questions and following this talk there will be time for an informal chat and catch up.

If you would like to attend please email aoife[at]childrensbooksireland[dot]ie by 5pm on Tuesday, 6 July.
