An Post Storytime Express with Children’s Books Ireland – SOLD OUT

Do you have a young reader in your home who needs some inspiration? Well this midterm break An Post and Children’s Books Ireland have an extra special treat for children to help fuel their imaginations! On Wednesday 30th October the An Post Storytime Express with Children’s Books Ireland will make a special stop on Platform 2 in Heuston Station for just a few hours. And it will be teeming with exciting activities including: the Children’s Books Ireland Book Clinic, where young readers can get their personalised reading prescription, art sessions with Peter Donnelly (creator ofThe President’s Glasses,The President’s Cat and The President’s Surprise) and Niamh Sharkey (former Laureate na nÓg and creator of Henry Hugglemonster) readings and talks from children’s authors including E. R. Murray, face painting, a doodling carriage, and more! Every child who attends will leave with a free book and a bespoke reading guide developed in conjunction with Children’s Books Ireland. This is a free event, but you do need a ticket. Please register for a ticket for each attendee; children and adults will need their own individual tickets. Relaxed CBI Book Clinic @ Malahide Library

Are you a young reader? Looking for a new series to delve into? Feeling uninspired by your bookshelves at home? Do you need a prescription for a new read? Then pop along to the CBI Book Clinic, where the CBI Book Doctors will be ready to offer the best advice for  young readers. At this special book clinic we will be running a drop in clinic from 3.30-5.30pm at Malahide Library. Then from 6-8pm we will have a relaxed Autism friendly book clinic, where families can book an appointment with the Book Doctor by calling the library on (01) 8704430 / 31. You can find a book clinic social story for Malahide Library here. You can watch the book clinic in action here. Children will leave with a CBI Reading Passport, and a prescription for their next read to take to their local bookshop or library.
