The second Children’s Books Ireland Artists' Coffee Morning of 2021 will take place on Tuesday 9th February at 10 am. This is the ninth in a recurring series of informal yet informative gatherings on Zoom where artists can hang out, learn from experts about something pertinent to their work and meet others in their creative area. For this coffee morning we’ll be talking about promoting and selling your book during the global pandemic and lockdown. 2020 and 2021 have been challenging for the industry, with traditional publicity channels like launches and bookshop signings difficult if not impossible. Additionally, Brexit has affected book supply. We’ll be hearing from publicist Beatrice Cross and author Cat Doyle. Bea is Senior Publicity Manager at Bloomsbury Publishing and works with authors like Sarah Crossan, Katherine Rundell and Cat Coyle. Cat is the creator of the Storm Keeper series published by Bloombsury, with the final book in the trilogy, The Storm Keeper’s Battle launching shortly.
