Set on the rolling moor of Edgemoor, Hazel and a group of her classmates set off on an extra-credit camping trip. Tensions rise as the weather worsens, and flashbacks to the Edgemoor Player’s doomed play from months ago arise. When characters and real life get confused, and arguments between the group worsen, strange events plaguing the group begin to stir in the mist and worsening snow.

As characters begin to disappear and the pathetic fallacy of the weather worsens, flashbacks to the play begin to explain the terrifying events that are happening. Months ago, events occurred that shattered the lives of the group forever, changing them in many ways, some worse than others. As Hazel thinks back to the play and follows her group through the moor, readers grow ever more worried for the company she is in.
