Is ealaíontóir agus Feirsteach ó dhúchas é Andrew Whitson. Cónaíonn sé i seanteach atá taobh thíos de chaisleán agus buailte le srón fathaigh. In eaglais iontach sean, déanann sé pictiúir sa túr a chrochann sé ar bhallaí agus a chuireann sé i leabhair. In amanna, bíonn sé ag obair chomh mall sin sa túr go nglasáiltear isteach é. Ansin, caithfidh sé úsáid a bhaint as a eochair rúnda, dhraíochta le dul isteach agus amach as an eaglais nuair nach bhfuil duine ar bith eile thart.

Andrew Whitson is an award-winning artist and Belfast native who likes to be called Mr. Ando! Mr Ando has illustrated over twenty books, and established the Irish-language publishing company An tSnáthaid Mhór.

Jimín Mháire Thaidhg

Bhí mé naoi mbliana d’aois nuair a léigh mé Jimín Mháire Thaidhg den chéad uair. Bhí mé i Rang 4 i mbunscoil bheag tuaithe. Bhí mé féin agus daltaí eile Rang ceithre in ainm is a bheith ag déanamh ár gcuid oibre féin. Ní raibh focal á scríobh ag aon duine againn, áfach, ach muid ar bís le cloisteáil faoi eachtraí Jimín agus an leabhar á léamh os ard ag Rang 6. Ní shásódh rud ar bith mé féin ach cóip mo dheirféar a léamh sa bhaile.
