Malorie Blackman’s Project Remix

Waterstones Children’s Laureate 2013-2015 Malorie Blackman is inviting young people to take part in Project Remix – a competition to find the UK’s best young writers and creatives. UK residents aged 13-19 years are asked to take inspiration from their favourite writers to make their own creative work in response to the books and stories. Competition entrants are asked to choose from a list of published works and creative practices include writing a fanfic, designing an alternative book cover, rebooting a story for a spin-off comic strip, or even writing nbsp;a piece of original music inspired by the work.

Malorie herself will be choosing her favourite entries in each category to win some very special prizes – including the chance to join Malorie and friends at the Project Remix award ceremony in London in spring 2015. The books, stories, poems and graphic novels on the list include works from 25 authors including David Levithan, Phil Earl, R.J. Palacio and Marlorie Blackman herself.
