McGann Clan at CBI Conference!

CBI Conf 2016 A4 LRThe lineup for CBI Conference 2016 is now available! This year’s theme Better Together? Collaboration and Teamwork in Children’s Books looks at the pleasures and pains of working collaboratively. Sometimes viewed as a solitary pursuit, creating a book for publication is essentially a collaborative process. We have invited creative teams, a family and those who create in solitude to address the question, are we better working together?

McGanns - ferry timeWe promised you a family as part of the conference line-up this year, and that family is question is the McGann Clan, namely Oisín, Kunak and Erika! These siblings have forged careers at the heart of Irish children’s books, working across a range of fields. All three are both published authors, with Kunak also working as Rights Director at The O’Brien Press. We’re looking forward to a funny and lively discussion with CBI Director Elaina Ryan about their love for books, childhood influences on their chosen careers and sibling rivalry!

Check out the photo of a young Oisín, Kunak and Erika spending time on a ferry with their mum and brother Marek!

Day and weekend conference tickets for members and non-members are available here.
