Are you a published children’s writer who could benefit from the support of a group of peers at a similar stage in their careers? If so, read on – author, translator and Inis magazine reviews editor Juliette Saumande is currently accepting expressions of interest from children’s writers who wish to be part of a new writing group:
So here you are. You’ve had one book published (or two, or ten) and you have a million ideas for another one (or another two, or ten), but somehow you haven’t managed to sit down and write them. Or you have, but you haven’t got past page 5, as you’ve been too busy doing a million other things.
You feel you need some help: a sounding board, a wall to lean on, a shoulder to cry on, or, simply, a few bodies to put you under pressure to Just Write. To produce something on a regular basis.
If this scenario sounds familiar, fear not: help is at hand.
We are a group of such writers, with titles published in traditional publishing houses, looking to get into a writing rhythm, in order to meet the demands of our editors or else to make space for some free (non-commissioned) writing.
The group will meet every other week either physically in Dublin, down the country or occasionally online to accommodate geographical diversity.
We are currently looking for new members. If you feel this could be you, do get in touch at Juliette@childrensbooksireland.ie.
Let’s get cracking!
