Resistance can take many forms, from small, playful, everyday moments to large scale demonstration. Resisting the status quo, questioning authority and forging a new path is something essential that children’s artists showcase for young readers. At this year’s conference, we’re asking our speakers to talk about the role resistance plays in their creative lives.
Taking place on 20-21st September 2025 in the Light House Cinema, Smithfield, the Children’s Books Ireland International Conference 2025 is a weekend-long celebration of the very best in children’s books with a whole host of brilliant international speakers in attendance, soon to be announced.
