We are honoured and so proud to have won the 2023 Business to Arts Award for Best Long-Term Partnership, together with our partners KPMG Ireland.

This 2023 Business to Arts Awards took place on Tuesday 12th September, where Children’s Books Ireland and KPMG Ireland were shortlisted under two award categories:

  • Best Large Sponsorship – KPMG and Children's Books Ireland, Reading Heroes
  • Best Long-term Partnership – KPMG and Children's Books Ireland, Reading Heroes

We are over the moon to have won the Award for Best Long-term Partnership, sponsored by the Irish Times, for our ‘Reading Heroes’ initiative with KPMG Ireland, which has seen thousands of young readers reached across Ireland.

Children’s Books Ireland would like to sincerely thank the Business to Arts Awards judges for this honour, and KPMG Ireland for their longstanding support of young Irish readers.

'We are so thrilled to have won the Best Long-Term Partnership Award with KPMG. Over the years, KPMG’s support has grown from a small event on World Book Day to a major sponsorship of the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards, two ongoing programmes which see their people visiting schools to talk about representation and inclusion through children’s books and various book-gifting initiatives which have allowed us to give the gift of reading to children who need it most.

'Our organisations share a mutual understanding of the value of reading and how transformative it can be in allowing children and young people to achieve their full potential. We look forward to many more fruitful years working together to encourage and support young readers.'

– Elaina Ryan, CEO Children's Books Ireland

Running for over 30 years, the Awards is a flagship event on the corporate-cultural calendar. The Awards feature a range of categories that celebrate arts sponsorship, commissioning, philanthropy, staff engagement programmes, corporate social responsibility, access programmes, creative community initiatives, and more.
