Conversations Over Coffee
This event is now fully booked.
Children's Books Ireland and Poetry Ireland are continuing to work in partnership to support artists who are delivering online programmes to children and young people. All events as part of this Digital Capacity Building Programme are free of charge.
These sessions are designed to assist and support writers and illustrators in their work and have been made possible with support from The Arts Council Capacity Building Support Scheme. Children's Books Ireland and Poetry Ireland are committed to supporting artists in the development of their practice and their working conditions.
Based on feedback and recommendations from artists, the final phase of this programme will take the form of short and informal knowledge exchange, exploring potential solutions to issues of concern and sharing examples of good practice.
Fardus Sultan, Co-Founder and Director of an IT consultancy and digital marketing company, FarendNet Ltd, and Cyberpsychology expert, who also lectures at Technological University Dublin and Trinity College Dublin will be present at these sessions to facilitate any troubleshooting that may be required.
Staff from Poetry Ireland and/or Children's Books Ireland will also be present to provide any guidance or recommendations as required.
Topics for discussion are not limited, but may include, for example: your own experiences around what has worked well and what has not worked well in working online, sharing video content, working across different platforms (e.g. Microsoft Teams versus Zoom and more), cybersafety concerns, technical issues you may be experiencing and engaging children and young people in the online space.
