Design-A-Cover competition with The O'Brien Press
Once again, we have teamed up with The O’Brien Press to give one lucky young person the opportunity to have their artwork featured on the cover of a professionally published book.
The national ‘Design-A-Cover’ competition, launched today, is enlisting the help of Ireland’s talented young artists in re-jacketing Judi Curtin’s Time After Time, the first instalment in the author’s popular series of the same name.
The winning design will be used as the basis for the cover of a new edition of Time After Time to be published in Autumn 2024. The overall winner will also receive a class set of the book for their school and a special selection of The O’Brien Press books.
Five runners-up will have the chance to see their artwork featured in the book and will also receive a selection of fantastic titles from The O’Brien Press.
This competition is open to residents of ROI and Northern Ireland only, with a closing date of Friday, 23rd February. All entrants must be aged 15 years or under. Only one entry per person.
'We’re thrilled to be bringing back the ‘Design-A-Cover’ competition this year, in partnership with our friends at The O’Brien Press. For a young reader, seeing their artwork on the shelves of their local bookshop is a massive honour, and a source of incredible excitement. Every year, we have been so impressed by the quality of the entries to this competition, and we look forward to reviewing them in the Spring!' – Elaina Ryan, CEO of Children's Books Ireland
