The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards will be announced as part of ILFDublin on Wednesday 22nd May!

The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards are the most prestigious awards for children’s books in Ireland and celebrate Irish writing and illustration for children and young people.

This year’s shortlist, suitable for a range of ages, will compete for the KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Book of the Year and five other awards, including honours for fiction, illustration and a Junior Juries’ Award which will be decided by young readers from across the country.

The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards Junior Juries’ Programme is a unique activity for schools, libraries and book clubs, designed to encourage children and young people to read widely and to engage with reading in an innovative and exciting way.

Young readers ‘shadow’ the adult judges of the book awards panel in reading, discussing and assessing the shortlisted books each year. Sign up here now to take part!

The winners will be announced by book-loving broadcaster Rick O’Shea and will also be broadcast live! More info about the shortlisted titles can be found here.

The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards is supported by the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland National Lottery Funding. Presented in partnership with International Literature Festival Dublin.
