Open tender for book-gifting suppliers
Our school book-gifting programme has continued to grow rapidly, which has meant that we are purchasing an increased number of children’s books each year.
As such, we initiated a tender process in 2020 and we would like to continue to ensure that we are delivering the best value to our funders. In 2020 we spent €140,000 on books as part of our book-gifting projects. This grew to €176,000 in 2021 and again in 2022, when we spent €322,000 on books.
Closing date for tender applications will be Monday 21st of August, with the successful applicant being notified by Monday 11th September.
Once awarded, the contract will begin on Monday 2nd of October and remain in place for 3 years.
To submit a tender
1. Fill out Tender Application Form
2. Provide sample order quote
Please provide quotes for the following;
a. Below sample order of a Free to Be Me Little Library, incl delivery costs. (This is a fair representation of the type of orders we do. We may also have smaller orders, top-up orders etc, orders with class-sets or multiple copies of books.)
b. The same sample order as above, but also price, on separate lines in the quote, for:
- stickering of books
- including Children’s Books Ireland promotional material
- storage for 1 month.
