The illustrations are a limited palette of black, white, and green. They are full of expression and just a little weird. Wild, zany and full of life, the illustrations are also filled with little hints and Easter eggs that perfectly complement the story and give plenty for little eyes to take in and spot. With small sections of text and large active illustrations, this chapter book is a perfect transition for readers moving on from picturebooks to early readers.
