Our annual reading guide is here! The Best Irish Books of 2025 is a celebration of Irish authors and illustrators, published this year. It contains reviews of 100 books suitable for readers aged 0–18 years.

The Best Irish Books of 2025 features brilliant titles for young readers of all interests. From débuts to our Laureates na nÓg, it is a treasure trove of talent from the island of Ireland. 100 more books are also recommended for further reading to help guide readers in the direction of their next great read. The guide is a showcase of some of Ireland’s best and brightest across fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels and verse, with all books included having been written or illustrated by an Irish born or Irish based artist.
