Bigfoot and the Wild Boys

Joe is tired of feeling forgettable – even his classmates refer to him as Average Joe! Missing out on the year six class photo sets Joe on a mission of self-discovery; he wants to be someone, especially before starting secondary school. So, after seeing on the news that his hero, Wildman Mike, will be in a nearby woods helping to track down Bigfoot, Joe insists he must be the one to catch Bigfoot. With his best friend Tiago by his side, and after packing their essentials such as Pringles and some rope, the boys set off on a wild adventure.

This is a tale of friendship, exploration, and wilderness survival as the boys set out an unforgettable journey. With some extreme highs and lows, the two best friends battle each other, the elements and the looming presence of Bigfoot. Despite testing his friendship and questioning the authenticity of his hero, Joe finds an ally in the most unlikely of creatures.

Set during the summer between year six and the first year of secondary school in the UK, making the characters ten years old, however, due to the juvenile, humorous tone and the lively protagonists, the story would perhaps be suited to readers younger than this.
