The Friendship Fairies Save the Circus
The beloved Friendship Fairies are back again with another exciting adventure, this time – they must work together to save the circus. Emme, Holly, Jess and a symphony of quirky characters come together to help Diogo the clown get his smile back and remind him that what makes us happiest is often right in front of our eyes.
It is midterm break, and the sisters are busy packing their two weeks full of exciting plans, Holly aims high with hopes to learn Chinese, or become an astronaut. The circus which has treats, tricks and trapeze artists, is the highlight of their break, but there is something a not quite right when the girls arrive. They dive straight into action to get to the bottom of it. They discover that not only did they arrive a day early, but they arrived to find Diogo completely lost in his thoughts and feeling very, very sorry for himself.
There are two plot lines occurring side by side within the story which is paired with beautifully detailed illustrations. Feeling weighed down by what is happening in the world is a feeling relatable to many young readers, this story is an excellent exploration of navigating those big feelings. Holly’s conversation with Dr. Snail stands to help children who feeling anxious at times understand that it can happen to anyone at any time, and that it is completely normal. This new story of the popular series will have young readers completely engrossed in the realm of the Friendship Fairies.
