Goldilocks and the Three Crocodiles
A familiar tale retold brings a fresh sense of humour and perspective. Goldilocks has moved on from her experience with the Bears, and this time she has her friend Tiddles the dog along with her. In search of “just right” in seats, food and bed, Goldilocks explores the terrain of the beach, caves and the ocean.
She finds new ways to engage with the sea which whispers to her and helps her on her journey. The Crocodiles who wear Crocs shoes are hilarious and not at all warm and cosy like the Bears. Young readers will be engaged with understanding different sizes, different temperatures and different types of comfort, while being entertained with this tale. Her connection with the sounds and the essence of the sea provide the backdrop for her journey.
The book is beautifully illustrated throughout. The contrast of the Crocodiles caves set against the vast beach, and finally to Goldilocks very comfortable bed at home - where everything is really just right - will delight young readers.
