Love Me Tomorrow

‘I loved you from the beginning,’ reads the love letter from the future that shapes Emma’s final year of high school and sets her on a new trajectory in all facets of her life.

Throughout Love Me Tomorrow readers meet a cast of possible love interests as Emma seeks to find the future letter writer. The misdirection keeps readers on their toes, as we follow the clues in the letters as closely as our protagonist does.

This is not your typical teen romance story. The author manages to blend time travel and wish granting with family struggles, ambition and teen heartthrobs. Effortlessly, the time travel element does not take away from what is a grounded story set against a realistic backdrop of divorced parents, college applications, and a family that is struggling to make ends meet. The switch from letters to emails from our letter writer early on in the novel left a lot to be desired, this reviewer cannot get behind emails being as romantic as handwritten anonymous letters!

As with any worthwhile young adult story, the core message is about self-growth: learning to take risks and stay open to possibilities. This book feels like a natural follow up for readers of the To All The Boys I Loved Before series. Perfect for anyone who enjoys romantic coming-of-age stories.
