Skunk and Sniffy
Sniffy is a gift from Mama and Skunk takes him everywhere. The pair share lots of fun and adventures, and Sniffy’s special smell provides Skunk with reassurance when he needs it. When Sniffy goes missing, Skunk is relieved to find him in the washing machine but something isn’t quite right – Sniffy has lost his special smell! Mama and Skunk try to find Sniffy's smell, but it is only when Mama hugs Skunk that he discovers why Sniffy’s smell was so special.
Ní Chíobháin’s story will captivate young readers while Donnelly's beautiful illustrations bring the story expertly to life, with lots of little details drawn on every page that will engage young readers and get them thinking beyond the text. There is also fun maze at the start and end of the book for little fingers to explore.
Originally written in Irish, Skunk and Sniffy is a story that young readers will love sharing with their grown-ups. This is a fun story that explores the relationship between a young skunk and his mother. It will resonate with readers young and old who will delight in working out that it is Mama’s love for Skunk that gives Sniffy his special smell.
