Children's Books Ireland is proud to be an official Gaisce Challenge Partner. We aim to inspire and support young people to become lifelong readers. As a Challenge Partner, we have lots of ideas and resources to help you achieve different Challenge Areas of your Gaisce Award through brilliant books!
Would you like to get back into reading? Or would you like the chance to inspire a love of reading in others around you? The Children's Books Ireland Reading Challenge has a range of activities to support Gaisce participants in their work for their Award.
We have lots of exciting ideas that will support you in working towards a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award in different Challenge Areas of your Gaisce Award. As a Gaisce Challenge Partner, we facilitate activities for participants, specifically in the Personal Skill Challenge Area and Community Involvement Challenge Area.

About Gaisce
Gaisce – The President’s Award is Ireland’s national youth award and self-development programme for young people aged 14-25. It is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland to all young people to dream big and realise their potential.
Gaisce Challenge Partners offer opportunities for Gaisce Participants to complete one or more Challenge Area activities. These areas include Personal Skill, Community Involvement and Physical Recreation, all essential for earning a Gaisce Award. At Children’s Books Ireland, we facilitate activities for Gaisce Participants completing their Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards namely in Personal Skill Challenge Area or Community Involvement Challenge Area.
