Sarah Crossan is a poet and novelist. She is Ireland’s fifth Laureate na nÓg and will hold the title from 2018 until 2020. Her theme as Laureate is #WeAreThePoets, a two-year project inspiring young people to express themselves through poetry and verse.

Compose ‘erasure’ poetry by crossing out words from a text to create an original poem of your own. You can use pages from old magazines, newspapers, and books to do this. Sarah Crossan’s We Are The Poets project distributed thousands of erasure postcards featuring extracts from her novel  Apple and Rain.
