Greta Thunberg is a sixteen-year-old girl from Sweden and a leading voice in the climate activism movement with her school strike initiative that is now in effect all over the world. No One is Too Small to Make a Difference is a collection of the speeches she has given during her school strikes, the UN Climate Change Conference, the World Economic Forum, and more.
Greta is one of the most remarkable activists I’ve ever encountered. She is passionate, practical, and commendably unapologetic in her work. She conveys the urgency and determination she implores the world to feel during this environmental crisis through every word of this book. Her speeches are incredibly frank, in a time where this is undeniably needed; she sees the world in ‘black and white’.
The word ‘inspirational’ does not do this book justice. It is a necessity to every person, child and adult, who can incite change during this crisis. It is an excellent introduction to climate activism, and expertly conveys the seriousness of Greta’s objectives.
This book is accessible, practical, and incredibly important. Though it is small, it is mighty, and I wholeheartedly believe this will be a landmark piece of work that will stand the test of time. Absolutely everyone should read it.
