CBI Book of the Year Shadowing Scheme now open!

The CBI Shadowing Scheme is a unique programme for schools and libraries, designed to encourage awareness and enjoyment of the CBI Book of the Year Awards. We are delighted to announce that the 2019 Shadowing Scheme is now open for registration.

Participating classes and junior book clubs make their own selection of suitable titles from the books shortlisted for the CBI Awards in March, using a specially devised activity pack to guide them in their reading. At the end of this process each group is asked to collectively vote for their favourite book. CBI then announces the Children’s Choice Award during the official prize ceremony in May.

Registration is completely free and Shadowing Groups have the option to indicate their interest in coming along to the CBI BOYA Shortlist Announcement, taking place as part of Belfast Children’s Festival on March 11th, or the CBI BOYA Awards on May 22nd, as part of ILFD. These events are free to Shadowers, but tickets are limited.

Please register your group free of charge using the Shadowing Scheme registration form

We have extended the closing date for registration to March 11th , so get your form in by post, email or phone by then.
