Deirdre Laide is a primary school teacher and children’s book author living on the southwest coast of Ireland. Passionate about nature, conservation, and the lesser-known aspects of history, she aims to bring curiosity and wonder to young readers through storytelling.

Deirdre enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her three, young daughters and husband. She loves summer sea swimming, hiking, exploring the woodlands and goes to a trampolining classevery week.
