Little Snail Goes House-Hunting
Little Snail loves her home, and her enormous snail family but something inside her makes her curious about the outside world. We follow Little Snail as she adventures through all sorts of different places she makes her home, but like Goldilocks, none of them seem ‘just right.’
Eventually, Little Snail ends up right back where she started, but bigger and bolder than ever. She has embraced her individuality, and in doing so, allows her friends and family to embrace theirs by making their homes even more lovely places to be.
The illustrations are basic, drawn in textured crayon, and watercolour strokes which adds to their charm. They are plentiful, colourful and pop against the white background, bringing a lot of personality and humour to the pages. Young readers will enjoy the details of the illustrations as the snails add to their shells and have fun picking out their favourites.
This is an enjoyable short story about a snail who wants to see what more the world could offer her outside of her comfortable garden. It is a fun, light-hearted read with big bold illustrations and humour interwoven throughout. I enjoyed the positive message the book shares.
