Immediately, readers are back where we left them at the end of book two, Hanson is stealing the sun, the world is on the brink of death and time is running out, but a useful quick visual recap of the story so far within the first ten pages, makes this easy to grasp for readers new to the series.
Duggan takes on some big and very current themes; misinformation, climate change, thepower of social media and technologies and the potential of people-powered change in a thought-provoking and accessible way. Technology, and it power for good and bad is a central message with deepfakes, immersive reality and AGI all playing central roles. A fast-paced adventure with clever plot twists, exploring the power of love, altruism and intergenerational teamwork. The conclusion of this series leaves us with the clear message that we all can do more to save our planet.
