SuperQuesters Mission: Rainforest Magic
The SuperQuesters are whizzed away to the rainforest in this second adventure for Lilli, Leo and Bea. Rainforest Magic covers topics as widespread as how plants can be used in medicine to robotics and even includes up-to-date research, with nanobots being used for delivering medicine as part of the adventure. There are extra fun facts on each topic covered for the inquisitive, but these are optional additions rather than part of the story itself.
Perfect for kids who love facts and solving the mysteries, Cross creates a world of science that still leaves room for fiction and magic. Each puzzle or problem in the story is beautifully illustrated by Gasko to aid children who wish to solve as they go. However, there isn't a pressure on the reader to figure the problems out themselves as the pace of the book moves past each puzzle quickly. In addition to being stunning to look at and perfectly capturing the magical creations in the book, these illustrations will support visual learners while teaching on the topics included.
For our heroes, there is a fair balance between real stakes and quick movement away from peril to keep the action flowing, but there is somewhat serious peril for the animals, so parental discretion may be advised for more sensitive children.
