The Spectacular Space Loop
An excitable Cosmo gets to test out a prototype of a new rocket jet pack. However, when the jet pack malfunctions and communication breaks down with his team back at base, Cosmo has to find his own way home. But of course, the journey is not that straightforward; Cosmo is helped along the way by an entertaining and certainly interesting cast of characters. Think magicians, sewer mutants, aliens, each wackier than the next whilst travelling from cities to spaceships to jungles on this epic, immersive and humorous adventure.
This graphic novel is no ordinary book. It reads from front to back, first following the text on the white background, flip it over and then read the text on the yellow background. Author and illustrator Javi De Castro has cleverly designed this book in such a way that the illustrations make sense no matter which way the book is held. This is the perfect introduction to graphic novels for the younger reader as the bold artwork draws all of the attention. The illustrations are eye catching, vibrant and bursting with energy. The way in which the text is laid out in speech bubbles combined with the colourful imagery makes this book an attractive and achievable read for the younger or less confident reader.
A story that could be read repeatedly and each time the reader will discover something new!
